Dr. Ara Nazarian uses the latest dental technology to improve your experience as a patient and provide the best possible care.
We pride ourselves on offering quality dental care for patients of all ages, which is why we invest in state-of-the-art dental technology.
Some of our dental technology is listed below, from digital dental X-rays to air abrasion.
Our Advanced Dental Technology
2D-3D Cone Beam Scanner
Dr. Nazarian achieves an exact picture of what is currently going on in your mouth, utilizing leading-edge 2D-3D images. He uses the Carestream Dental 8100 imaging system to take images of the mouth, jaw, and teeth to accurately diagnose your dental problems. Additionally, this allows Dr. Nazarian to precisely place dental implants in the best position and the best quality of bone.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays are among the many advanced technological techniques used by Dr. Nazarian to provide optimum treatment for his patients. Digital X-rays use up to 90% less radiation than traditional dental X-rays and display onto a computer screen where specific areas can be zoomed in on for a closer look.
Implant Planning Software
Guided Implant Planning allows Dr. Nazarian to accurately place the dental implants virtually before the actual surgery date. Because of the 360 degree 3D images, he can predict the best quality and density of bone as well as the best prosthetic position so that the implant restorations look and feel the most lifelike for the patient.
Surgical Guides
Advanced CBCT software allows Dr. Nazarian to plan surgical guides that will ensure the most ideal placement of dental implants whether it is for one tooth or a full arch of teeth. In fact, Dr. Nazarian lectures on this topic internationally. Surgical guides can be designed to fit over existing teeth, gum tissue, and underlying bone. In other words, there is no guessing of where the dental implant will be placed when using CBCT surgical guides.
Soft Tissue Laser
Dr. Nazarian utilizes soft tissue lasers for a variety of different dental procedures which include removing excess tissue, uncovering implants, decontaminating infected sites, and treating periodontal disease. The laser’s ability to significantly reduce treatment time, pain, and anxiety is greatly beneficial for patients. There is no pain-inducing heat buildup, so most laser procedures can be performed using only a topical anesthetic – no shots required.
CAD/CAM Restorations
Designing the final prosthetic result with 3D CAD/CAM software allows Dr. Nazarian the ability to pick the smile that best fits your facial features as well as bite. Once designed and approved the milling process begins using a monolithic material called zirconia. Zirconia is very strong, esthetic, and biocompatible. No longer does a patient have to worry about unnatural looking restorations that might be prone to fracture.
Ensuring Implant Stability
By monitoring the osseointegration progress, the Osstell device enables us to proceed with confidence while still being able to respond to patients’ requests for shorter treatment times. The Osstell method is a fast, noninvasive, and easy-to-use system to determine implant stability and to assess the progress of osseointegration – without jeopardizing the healing process.
Digital Intraoral Impressions
New technology like the state-of-the-art CS3600 intraoral scanner enables Dr. Nazarian to provide a higher level of care. This dental device eliminates the need for making impressions that were once essential for providing an accurate fit for restorations. In addition to making the process of measuring a patient’s mouth easier and more comfortable, the scanner also provides a higher degree of accuracy.
